A sophisticated place that tries to go against the flow of the mainstream. At the bridge of this particular vessel are Rui Tavares and Berg, the latter a member of Rui Veloso’s band. With excellent acoustics, this new hall in the capital is geared towards intimate live music. And don’t be surprised if top Portuguese musicians take the stage and full advantage of the 24-track mixing desk. The decor by Ana Lourenço is a mix of modern and well-travelled. The Egyptian lamps are a knockout, as are the old typewriters on one of the walls.
